Welcome to our home. Soon to be your home away from home.
The site of the Green Leaf Inn is on Route 50 in Delavan, right next to Williams Bay and Geneva Lake. We are just ten minutes from Fontana and less than 15 minutes from Lake Geneva, traffic allowing. We say that last bit with a bit of a grin.
Currently, we have the house and a separate garden cottage, with extensive grounds to the north. The house will be converted to a 3-suite unit when the Inn is built, and the cottage is the future location of the Welcome Center for the Inn. The new buildings, housing 16 suites, will extend to the West.
The grounds to the north hold a variety of garden areas and environments. The area behind the house, to the east, is shade. The area behind the cottage, to the west, is sunlight. The eastern area has an abundance of shade trees, private areas, cupolas, paths, and shade plants. The western area features colorful full-sun plants and our vegetable gardens.
As plans for the Inn take shape, we will be redesigning the garden areas as well. We'll be initiating design and landscape contests for five separate areas on the grounds, as well as indoor design contests for the suites that will go in the current house.
